The winds of Typhoon No.11 (2022)
In 2022. Typhoon No. 11 remained very strong and passed along the coast of Japan. Even in Ehime, where I live, the sea was rough and strong winds blew.
This work was created by dropping paint on canvas and using the force of wind to move the paint. I caught the wind that existed on that day.
2022年、台風11号は非常に強い勢力を保ち、日本の沿岸を通過。ぼくの住んでいる松山市でも海が荒れ、強風が吹いた。絵の具の重なりは、確かにその日、存在した風の軌跡である。

Paint is dropped onto the canvas, and before the paint dries, wind is applied to move the paint around. This process was repeated several times to create the above work.
絵の具をキャンバスに落とし、絵の具が乾かないうちに風をあてて絵の具を動かしている様子。この作業を何回か繰り返し、上記の作品をつくった。
The day after the typhoon passed, I looked up at the sky and saw a line of airplane clouds in the sky. The sky was doing the same thing every day that I had painted the day before.
台風一過の翌日、空を見上げると、飛行機雲が空に一本のラインを描いていた。空は、前日にぼくがしたペイントと同じことを毎日している。
